For the 2017-18 third-generation Tiger 800 the XR remained the entry road model, with a more responsive engine, lighter exhaust and shorter first gear for better low-speed traction. It has cast wheels with a 19 inch front, Metzeler Tourance tyres, switchable ABS and traction control, and adjustable seat, bars and levers.
